In Jalisco, the COVID certificate is mandatory to enter bars and stadiums

The government of Jalisco announced that it will be mandatory to present the COVID-19 vaccination certificate or a negative PCR type test to enter bars, clubs, stadiums, concerts, mass events, stadiums and convention centers.
He pointed out that this measure will be applied from January 14 and that it is part of the new measures to maintain the economic growth strategy with responsibility for the COVID pandemic, since there will be no closures of activities.
The governor of Jalisco, Enrique Alfaro, said that, in case of not having the COVID certificate, a PCR test may be presented with 48 hours of validity and only applies to the elderly.

Valid vaccination certificates are those issued by the federal government, the vaccination ballot delivered in Jalisco and proof of vaccination applied in the United States or another country.
He explained that, as part of the strategy, a staggered calendar was established for the return to schools in person; the basic education will be on January 17 and for upper secondary education will be on January 31.

While for higher education the return to the classrooms will be on February 8; in the case of UdeG and for private universities it will be according to their calendar, after January 31.

In addition, he said, the epidemiological surveillance system will be reinforced with increased testing and tracing of infections, and medicines for the treatment of COVID-19 will be acquired.

In terms of capacity, in the stadiums it will be reduced to 60%; permits are restricted for events of more than 800 people and for those of more than 800 people must be presented for individual assessment by the health table.
The activities that continue to be suspended until February 12: patron saint festivities, pilgrimages and street parties, inns, fairs and kermeses.
The governor indicated that there is a growth in the number of active cases of COVID in the state as it passed, in the first week of January, from 2,900 cases to 7,906 infections, in the week of January 8.

However, he said the hospitalization rate has not grown and deaths are stable.
“We are not in a similar circumstance to last year, maybe in the number of active cases, but not in terms that these cases are having in hospitalizations and deaths,” he said in a meeting with the state health board.
He pointed out that in the state 84% of the population is vaccinated with a dose and 66% with a complete scheme.
Tlaxcala relaxes measures
Meanwhile, the State Commission for the Protection Against Health Risks of Tlaxcala (Coeprist) issued a statement where it ensures that entry to shopping centers and establishments with the original proof of vaccination will be allowed.
“Given the difficulty that some people have to obtain their Covid-19 vaccination certificate, entry to shopping centers and other establishments will be allowed, with the proof of vaccination that was given to them at the time of the application of the vaccine,” he says.
The voucher can be presented on paper, or digitally. While minors between 5 and 14 years of age do not require proof.
