Córdoba: more than half of those hospitalized for Covid-19 are not vaccinated

More than half of those hospitalized for coronavirus in Cordoba are not vaccinated against the disease. The data comes from a report published by the provincial government, based on last Wednesday’s report. As reported by the Executive, 52% of the 974 hospitalized cases registered on Wednesday do not have any vaccine against Covid-19. In addition, 8% of that total received only one dose and 36%, two. Of the latter group, almost half are able to receive the booster dose, as four months – or more – have passed since the second application.
“This reflects that, of the total number of inmates, 76 percent have not started their Covid-19 vaccination schedule, or have a partial scheme with one or two doses, but are in a position to receive their third booster,” they said from the Government.

Also, another interesting fact that the report showed is that only 4% of the internees have the complete scheme with booster doses.” We need the community to be vaccinated and thus avoid hospitalization, currently observed in people without doses applied or with incomplete schedules. We know that the course or evolution of the pathology is much more complex in them,” said Cordoba Health Minister Diego Cardozo. “Currently, with the incorporation of the pharmacy network, the vaccination capacity of the province exceeds 70,000 people a day,” said the official. In Thursday’s report, meanwhile, it was reported that some 738 people are hospitalized for Covid-19, which represents an occupation of 21.06% of the assigned beds. Of this total, 413 (55.96%) correspond to mild cases in the common room with medical support and 325 (44.03%) to intensive care patients, of which 109 (14.76%) are on mechanical ventilation.
