AFA urges players to complete their vaccination schedule

After the draws were carried out in all divisions of Argentine football, the AFA held a meeting of the Board of Directors at the Ezeiza Campus, where they worked on different points and one of them had to do with the greeting of the players in the framework of the coronavirus pandemic. While reports say that 85% of those who make up the Professional Football League have at least one dose of the vaccine, the rest of the categories have numbers that have not been revealed and in this way it is called to be more careful. Therefore, the AFA and Futbolistas Argentinos Agremiados agreed on a measure to urge compliance with the scheme.
“In accordance with the Agreement reached between the AFA and FAA on 10.01.2022, it is urged that all players, members of technical bodies and referees who participate in the tournaments organized by the Argentine Football Association, have at least two doses of vaccination against Covid-19,” they affirm. In this sense, the way in which said information must be communicated by the clubs to this Association will be established in a timely manner. Likewise, for those athletes, members of the Technical Bodies and Referees who wish to complete their vaccination scheme, the AFA will establish a vaccination center in the facilities of the “Julio H. Grondona” Campus for these purposes, “they added to facilitate the process. During the first days of January, more than 200 players from the First Division were infected and they continue at a time when Argentina registers a peak of cases. For now, the AFA Medical Commission will not put limitations and will allow players to do their activity without being fully vaccinated, but possible measures are not ruled out.
