Deputy Mellado (RN) confirms positive PCR in Covid-19

The deputy of National Renewal (RN), Miguel Mellado, reported that his PCR test was positive for Covid-19.
Through a statement, the parliamentarian for La Araucanía notified that a PCR test was carried out due to the positive cases of Covid-19 existing within the Chamber of Deputies, also being positive.
In addition, he added that he finds himself with symptoms such as headache and throat, despite having the complete vaccination schedule. He also criticized that there are parliamentarians who have not been inoculated, since they put at “risk the public health and of others.”
“I take advantage of the instance to make a strong call to people, especially the youngest, to follow the preventive recommendations of the health authority; do not relax the measures, be responsible and let’s take care of others. The pandemic is not over and we are experiencing a new increase in infections, and it is in this framework that we must be more responsible than ever,” the text concluded.
It should be noted that Deputy Erika Olivera was notified as positive in Covid-19, as well as the Secretary General of RN, Diego Schalper, and that Senator Francisco Chahuán is in forties for being close contact waiting for the result of the PCR test.
