Salinas Pliego threatens opponents for blocking Twitter

This Thursday, January 20, the third richest man in Mexico, Ricardo Salinas Pliego returned to Twitter after his account was temporarily blocked for allegedly breaking his policies of conduct. One of his first messages back on the popular application was a kind of threat to those he says, orchestrated an attack to denounce him massively and censor him. With the phrase “hands are going to be missing,” Salinas Pliego made it clear that he plans to continue with his characteristic style of publications.” Hands are going to be missing from my opponents… to applaud me,” he wrote in one of the tweets, and then made at least two more in which he alludes to the subject. In another, the owner of Elektra and Banco Azteca claimed that his account was returned “intact” because the attack was orchestrated by bots (fake profiles). In the aforementioned tweet he detailed that Twitter lifted the punishment after appealing, and closed with another phrase that gives speculation: “The one who takes endures, mine goes”, although it was not clear what his response will be or to whom it will be directed. Salinas Pliego’s account was blocked after he incited a meme contest about journalist Denise Dresser, YouTuber Nacho Rodriguez “El Chapucero” and Simon Levy, whom he nicknames “Witch Dresser,” “Chapucerdo” and “Simion” respectively. My name is Juan Pablo Chaidez Aispuro, born in Culiacán, Sinaloa in a small family whose nucleus was originally made up of four people: father, mother and two children. From my early years I showed a taste for watching news and staying informed. I was a graduate of the 2014 – 2018 generation of the degree in Journalism, from the Autonomous University of Sinaloa (UAS), the first in that career since its opening.  As for the professional experience, I was able to gain apprenticeship during a period of six months in the sports area of the newspaper Noroeste, where I did professional practices. Later, I had the opportunity to spend another six months in the ranks of Radio Sinaloa, particularly in the news program Informativo Puro Sinaloa, of the state government. There I covered local issues, recorded voice for the newscast, contributed content for other broadcasts and had live participation. Since 2020 I am in Debate, a company that opened the doors for me to join as a web reporter, and months later to occupy the position of Editor in the site Debate.com.mx. See more
