Health registers 41,115 new cases of COVID and 648 deaths

The federal Ministry of Health reported that COVID infections in Mexico have been reduced by 26%.
On the last day, the agency added 41 thousand 115 records, for a total of 5 million 68 thousand 985 infections since the beginning of the pandemic. Health estimates that there are 213,837 active cases.

The states with the most active cases per 100,000 inhabitants are Colima, Baja California Sur, Mexico City, Nayarit and Querétaro. On the other hand, Chiapas, Morelos, Jalisco, Michoacán and Veracruz are the entities with the lowest number of recent notifications.

According to the technical report of Health, 308 thousand 141 people have died from the disease. On Thursday, 648 deaths were confirmed. To these are added 14 thousand 62 deaths classified as suspicious.
General bed occupancy for COVID patients stood at 44%, while ventilator beds are 29%.
Health applied this Wednesday 912 thousand 585 vaccines against coronavirus. In total, 167 million 682 thousand 458 doses have been supplied in the country, and there are 101 thousand 345 reported as lost.
According to official figures, 83 million 729 thousand 127 people -equivalent to 89% of the population over 18 years old- have received at least one vaccine in Mexico: 77 million 278 thousand 510 have a complete scheme (94%) and 6 million 350 thousand 617 have a single dose (6%).
