Google celebrates in its Doodle the opening of the 2022 Winter Olympic Games

Google celebrates this Friday the Inauguration of the 2022 Winter Olympic Games that are taking place in Beijing that will be held from February 4 to 20, and the subsequent Paralympics.The athletes unite in the Chinese capital, under the winter sky, “to freeze their opponents” and pounce on the victory and return “home like an international legend”, reads Google’s statement. After the Winter Olympics (February 20), Beijing will also host the Winter Paralympic Games, which will be held from March 4 to 13. Six Argentine athletes will be present at the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympic Games: the Barilocheses Tomás Birkner de Miguel and Francesca Baruzzi will participate in the alpine skiing events; in the cross-country ski competitions will be Franco Dal Farra, also born in San Carlos de Bariloche, and Nahiara Díaz, a native of Caviahue; Victoria Rodríguez López from Neuquén (30 years old) will be the only Argentine participant in the short track speed skating competitions. For her part, Verónica Ravenna (23) from Buenos Aires will take part in the Luge tests, a kind of light sled races. The native of Buenos Aires already participated in the previous Olympic Games played in Pyeongchang 2018, in South Korea, where she occupied the 24th. position.
