San Francisco Solano: Two young people were arrested accused of shooting a policeman

Two young men aged 20 and 22 were arrested on charges of shooting a retired federal police officer in the town of San Francisco Solano during an assault on a distributor. In the place, the police interviewed the owner of the premises who said that, moments before, six armed men who were traveling on motorcycles arrived at the store with robbery intentions. In those circumstances, a retired federal police officer who observed the situation, identified as Francisco Vallejos (55), intervened during the assault and a confrontation occurred in which he was injured with a cut on his scalp. According to the spokesmen, the criminals fled and the injured former policeman was taken to the area hospital for medical attention. Moments later, the members of the patrol command of that jurisdiction managed to finalize the arrest of two suspects at the intersection of El Picaflor and Gorriti streets in the aforementioned town, when they proceeded to identify them while they were traveling aboard a white Honda Xre motorcycle without patent plate. From the first investigations, the police were able to verify that the two suspects matched the physical characteristics observed in the videos recorded by a security camera that was at the scene. The detainees were identified by the police as Yonatan Sebastián Martínez (20) and Enrique Marcelo García (22), the sources detailed. During the procedure, the troops seized 25,000 pesos in cash that the suspects possessed at the time of the apprehension. The detainees were placed at the disposal of the Functional Unit of Instruction (UFI) 7 of the Judicial Department of Lomas de Zamora, who endorsed what was done and ordered the rigorous proceedings.
