With guided tours, shows and free visits, this Tuesday, February 8, the seventh edition of the Night of Museums and Art Galleries will be held in the city of Mar del Plata.

It is a special event in which various cultural centers, museums, galleries and spaces will open their doors to the public with a special program for them to enjoy their exhibitions, as well as the cultural value that distinguishes and preserves them.
The initiative ranges from the Juan Carlos Castagnino Municipal Museum of Art, the Provincial Museum of Contemporary Art MAR, the Victoria Ocampo Cultural Center, to the Lorenzo Scaglia Municipal Museum of Natural Sciences, the Monk’s Tower with Sea of Letters; the Galeria Atenea of the Club Naútico Mar del Plata, and more, in a night that invites residents and tourists to know its history and attractions. Juan Carlos Castagnino Municipal Museum of Art (Av. Colón 1189)
Free tour of its rooms where you can see temporary exhibition of “MY LIFE… MI CIUDAD” by Néstor Villar Errecart and a permanent sample of the original furniture of the building built in 1909 for the Ortiz Basualdo Castagnino family.
Lorenzo Scaglia Municipal Museum of Natural Sciences (Av. Libertad 3099)
Free tour to know the cultural heritage of our region, includes: from rocks and minerals, to skeletons of fossil animals, insects, mammals and birds today. The capacity is 60 people and on a first-come, first-served basis.
Victoria Ocampo Cultural Center (Matheu 1851)
Tour “Diverse Victory”, which will transit the exhibitions of the last 10 years. At 7 pm: talk by the actress and teacher Mónica Pari, who will tell the story of the writer and her summer home.

From 18 hours, there would be tours, various activities for multiple generations, as well as live set of Djs and a selection of short films from the Comedy and Fantastic Film Festival; and samples such as “Destino. Del Balneario al Cosmos” and “Argentina” by the duo Mondongo, formed by Juliana Laffitte and Manuel Mendanha.The shorts to be presented will be: “Calvario” by Lluis Margarit (Spain / 12 minutes); “Rebooted” by Michael Shanks (Australia / 13 minutes); “Globo” by José Antonio Campos (Spain / 8 minutes); “On the road” by Blomme Molenstra (Belgium / 5 minutes); “Los olvidables” by Laura Calavia Safont (Spain / 9 minutes); “Pile Poil” by Yvonnick Muller and Lauriane Escaffre (France / 21 minutes) and “Cristiano” by Adán Pichardo (Spain / 11 minutes).
