The Cuel Wind Farm in Los Angeles had to paralyze its functions after one of the blades broke off last Tuesday, falling dangerously without receiving injuries. This fact was recorded by security cameras adjacent to the park, which was disseminated through social networks.
This blade has a dimension of about 60 meters and fell about 400 meters from the nearest house. Neighbors have complained about the loud sound generated by these elements.
On the part of the company, they reported that “on February 8, 2022, in the afternoon, there was an incident related to the detachment of a blade from a wind turbine in our Cuel wind farm.”

They also added that “this event did not cause damage to people or materials and immediately began actions to develop the investigation in order to determine the causes of the incident.”
They also added that after this fact “a detailed review of each team will be covered before resuming the normal operation of the park, which is currently detained.”
Now the report to be made by the Superintendence of the Environment for the return to the functions of this wind farm is awaited.
