The Ministry of Health detected 31,336 recent cases of COVID-19, for a cumulative of 5,257,605 infections, since the beginning of the epidemic.
However, authorities estimate that 124,734 (2.3%) are active cases for presenting symptoms in recent days.

They also noted that the trend of cases decreased by 41%, between weeks 3 and 4 of the year.
According to the daily technical report, 564 more people died from COVID, so there are at least 312,118 deaths recognized by the authorities.
As for vaccination, 740 thousand 150 doses were applied, for a total of 171 million 453 thousand 754.
The doses correspond to 84 million 16 thousand 11 immunized people, 89% of the adult population in Mexico.
