The government agreed with bakers to keep the kilo of bread between $180 and $220

The Secretary of Domestic Trade, Roberto Feletti, held a meeting on Tuesday with a group of bakery centers in the province of Buenos Aires, with whom he agreed to guarantee the price to the public of French bread in a range ranging from $ 180 to $ 220, depending on the location of each local. The Secretary and the Undersecretary of Actions for the Defense of Consumers, Liliana Schwindt, agreed with the bakery centers on various issues related to the formation of the final price of bread to the public, depending on the cost structure of the sector. They did so within the framework of the meeting that the parties agreed to guarantee the price of French bread in bakeries in a range ranging from $ 180 to $ 220, according to the Secretariat.
In addition, a working group was constituted with the purpose of “articulating actions to take care of the table of Argentines as part of the price policy carried out by the national Government through the Ministry of Domestic Trade.”

For their part, the representatives of the bakery sector and the government agreed that “there is no reason that justifies a final price of bread above those values.”
In this sense, on Thursday another meeting will be held with representatives of the Panaderil Industrial Federation of the Province of Buenos Aires, to continue working in this same direction.

The meeting was attended by authorities from the Bakers Center of Avellaneda, Gastón Mora and Soledad Jeres; Merlo, Sergio Izzo and Martín Pinto; de Moreno, Juan Andrés Gonzales; Marcos Paz, Carlos Alberto Becerra; from Quilmes, Diego Salvio; Florencio Varela, Raúl Pombo; Eduardo Amirón; Pablo Notrica; Mónica Leonor Goméz; and Roberto Ramón Pucciarelli; representatives of Lomas de Zamora and General Rodríguez were present.
