Covid-19 balance: Minsal reports 35,789 new cases and 201 deaths in the last 24 hours

The Ministry of Health made a new assessment of the Covid-19 situation in the country, where 35,789 new cases were reported, of which 20,466 correspond to symptomatic people and 4,671 did not present symptoms. In addition, there were 10,652 positive PCR tests that were not reported.
In this way, the total number of people diagnosed with Covid-19 reached 2,747,552 and recovered patients reached 2,579,372 since the arrival of the coronavirus in Chile.
On the other hand, the death of 201 people in the last 24 hours was detailed, thus reaching 40,936 since the beginning of the pandemic, while positivity reached 27.13% nationwide.
As for the active cases, these reached 120,060 people and the PCR tests amounted to 122,384 in the last 24 hours, thus reaching the total amount of 31,934,556.
Meanwhile, there are 958 people hospitalized for Covid-19 in Intensive Care Units. Of these, 792 are supported by mechanical ventilation. In the same vein, the hospital capacity has 2,359 critical beds enabled and 182 critical beds available.
Positivity in the Metropolitan Region reached 20.52%, while the regions with the highest increase in new confirmed cases in the last seven days are Ñuble, La Araucanía, Los Ríos and Coquimbo.
