Plenary of the Convention approves reform to the regulations and will consider Saturdays as a working day

The Plenary of the Constitutional Convention approved on Tuesday 96 votes in favor, 38 against and 13 abstentions, a series of modifications to the internal regulations of the constituent body with the aim of expediting the discussion of norms.
Among the modifications is to consider saturday as a working day for the presentation of indications, and they will also be considered within the deadlines for delivery of reports.
The general discussion of the reports of the committees was also modified. In particular, the possibility of requesting a separate vote on some aspect of the proposal was limited. That is, unlike what has happened so far, we will not vote in general article by article but the normative proposal as a whole. If the report is rejected, it will return to the committee for replacement drafting.
Of course, this measure will only apply from the second reports issued by the commissions. In this way, this separation can still be requested in the discussion of the pending reports of the political system, constitutional principles, fundamental rights and environment committees. This will require the signature of eight conventional.
Likewise, the constituent body ratified its next regional departure in the week of May 16 to 20. On that date, the conventional ones will move to the Region of Antofagasta,
