The family of the “Mijis” confirms his death

Former local deputy Pedro Carrizales, known as the “Mijis,” was found dead after suffering a car accident, his family confirmed Wednesday.
Carrizales, who was a legislator in San Luis Potosi, was missing for a month. He was wanted in four states: San Luis Potosí, Nuevo León, Coahuila and Tamaulipas.
“This fact saddens us and we have no words to describe the difficult time we are going through,” the family said in a statement.

In addition, the relatives indicated that for now they will not give statements and thanked those who were aware of the situation of the former legislator.

Carrizales disappeared on February 1. After his family reported the case, the search began and expanded to four entities, whose prosecutors said Monday that they were investigating whether a road accident that occurred on February 3 was related to the “Mijis”.

The accident occurred on the border between Nuevo León and Tamaulipas.
