Carlos Chandía received the medical discharge from work after a serious car accident and will be able to return to his functions as mayor of Coihueco

The former Chilean international referee, Carlos Chandía, will resume his duties as mayor of Coihueco next week, after the serious accident suffered on July 15, 2021, when he was driving his vehicle in the Ñuble Region.
“It’s official! Mayor Carlos Chandía resumes his duties this Tuesday, March 22 after receiving the discharge from work from the Medical Team of Mutual, after more than 8 months of absence as a result of the car accident he suffered, “said the municipality.

The current communal chief of Coihueco was a professional referee between 2001 and 2009, being considered one of the best in Chile, then dabbling in politics and becoming mayor in 2012.
