AMLO for conflict Scherer, Sánchez Córdero and Gertz

President Andrés Manuel López Obrador assured that he will not get “into differences” because of the conflict between the former legal adviser of the Presidency, Julio Scherer Ibarra, Senator Olga Sánchez Cordero and prosecutor Alejandro Gertz Manero.
In the morning conference, he assured that the issue has to do with courts, public ministry and court, and that he is busy in other matters of the transformation of Mexico.
“We’re not going to get into those differences, we don’t want to participate in that. We are dedicated of time and soul to the transformation of Mexico.

“Nor can we avoid differences, different points of view, political confrontation, scandals and sensationalism in the media… The president is busy on other issues and I have to prioritize,” he said when asked about the issue.

On Saturday, the former legal adviser to the Presidency, Julio Scherer Ibarra, accused a conspiracy between the former Secretary of the Interior, Olga Sánchez Cordero, and the prosecutor Alejandro Gertz Manero to persecute him; as well as using their power and public resources to seek “personal revenge.”

In a written testimony published in the recent edition of the magazine Proceso, Scherer Ibarra points out an “extortionate” modus operandi that is replicated in the cases of Juan Collado; Inés Gómez Mont and Álvarez Puga; he embezzled the Cruz Azul Cooperative; and in the case of a concession on the Bicentennial Viaduct.
In all these cases, he says, both officials close to President Andrés Manuel López Obrador have sought to involve him in alleged extortion in exchange for obtaining criteria of opportunity to free the legal processes that remain open against him.
In the text, the former Legal Advisor of López Obrador tells the origin of the attacks of both public servants and assures: “Beyond me, Olga Sánchez Cordero and Alejandro Gertz Manero dishonor the oath to keep and make keep the Constitution in each of its excesses. Betrayal dwells in them.”
