Congress of Colima penalizes narcomantas and “halconeo”

Colima.- The local Congress of the state of Colima made history in the state by approving reforms and additions to the Criminal Code to classify as crimes the placement of narcomantas and “halconeo”. In addition, the placement of narcomantas will be a crime: “threats that are made publicly through the placement of blankets, cardboard, tarpaulins, cardboard or by any physical or electronic means”, or “whoever elaborates, prints, manufactures, provides, possesses, moves, moves, applies or places any object that contains expressions or messages of threats in public places”. In the specific case of narcomantas, the ruling stipulates that when the threats are made publicly through the placement of orders “he will be imposed from 2 to 6 years in prison and a fine for an equivalent amount of 40 to 120 UMAs” It was Governor Indira Vizcaíno Silva who presented the reforms and additions to the Criminal Code of the state of Colima described above. She argued that “in the context of social security and peace, this state administration works hard to generate that social peace and tranquility.” The governor also proposed to put in preventive detention those who comment on crimes against minors, incest penalties, sexual harassment, digital violence, workplace harassment, among others.
