Nacha Guevara will receive almost 12 million pesos for having had to go into exile

Nacha Guevara will be awarded a sum close to 12 million pesos as compensation for having had to go into exile between January 3, 1976 and October 28, 1983. This was confirmed by the Ministry of Justice and Human Rights, where they chose that the measure will not be published in the Official Gazette to avoid controversy.
The data, which began circulating on social media days ago, outraged thousands of Twitter users. “And why do you have to be paid for that with our taxes now? What is my fault?”, “Retirees are going to be given a bonus of 6 thousand pesos and Nacha 12 million”, “What an embarrassment”, “They are breaking the little patience that remains of the Argentine people”, were some of the comments that were read about it on the subject. The actress, who is actually called Clotilde Acosta, will receive exactly $11,466,268.80 for the 2856 days she stayed out of Argentina. The account starts from the beginning of January 1976, before the coup d’état arrived.

In 2018, during her visit to the cycle El Diario de Mariana (eltrece), the artist recalled the moment in which she had to leave Argentina. “I left in 48 hours because it was the time they gave us. I did it when with Héctor Alterio, Horacio Guaraní, Luis Brandoni, Norman Briski we received a threat. I could only stay if I stopped singing ‘I name you freedom’ and ‘What are you laughing at Mr. Minister?’ I refused and without thinking I left, because then they were going to ask me to take down my pants,” he said. Nacha said that this was the most painful experience she lived, but also the one that left her with the most learning: “My children were boys. I only took $350. When we got on the plane we found out that we were going to get off in Santiago de Chile, where Pinochet was. There we saw a diary that said: ‘Marxist rats flee’. We were terrified. And I told the pilot that my son was on diarrhea so he wouldn’t make us go down. Then we continued our trip to Lima, but I realized that I couldn’t do a race there.”
