Zacatecas records 11 murders in the first three days of April

Zacatecas registered 11 murders in the first three days of the month, a figure that reflects the problems of violence that the entity is going through.
On Friday, April 1, two intentional homicides were reported, on Saturday 2 there were four and on Sunday 3 there were five, according to the daily reports of the inter-institutional group of the federal government.
Over the past few months, Zacatecas has recorded murders, shootings and the abandonment of corpses on public roads.

For these facts, Governor David Monreal, of Morena, acknowledged last week that the beginning of his administration has been “complex.”

Monreal took office on September 12, 2021, after winning the June 6 elections of that year. In the campaign, one of his main promises was to combat insecurity.

So far in his term, Monreal has received the support of federal security forces, although this has not stopped the violent events.
In January alone, Zacatecas registered 133 intentional homicides, while in February there were 82, according to the monthly report of the Executive Secretariat of the National Public Security System (SESNSP).
The state is disputed territory by organized crime groups, such as the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJGN).
