After the dissemination of a video where an older man assaults a family on Rio Churubusco Avenue, the Secretariat of Citizen Security (SSC) of Mexico City reported that it arrested the aggressors.
Through his Twitter account, Omar García Harfuch, head of the secretariat, reported on the arrest of the people who “assaulted for no reason” a family while he was inside his vehicle.
Hours earlier, the Prosecutor’s Office notified that it had already initiated an investigation folder on the case and was looking for the aggrieved, in order to file a formal complaint.
A video began circulating on social networks showing a KIA car blocking the way to a vehicle where a couple with a minor was traveling. Subsequently, an older man got out of the car with a metal object in his hand.
It is reported that a few minutes ago @SSC_CDMX arrested these people who violently assault a family for no reason. Thank you to the citizens for all the reports they sent us. pic.twitter.com/LccJqFriY6

In the video, recorded by the family, the child is heard crying and screaming, while the parents ask the older adult to stop and repeatedly point out: “my daughter is coming.”
However, with the object in hand, the subject begins to hit the car and when the family tries to start, the driver of the vehicle where the aggressor came closes the way.
Network users began to disseminate the video, with the license plates of the car of the aggressors and photographs of the older adult. It was thanks to this circulation that they were stopped, García Harfuch said.
