The INE scolds 19 officials for rally at Monument to the Revolution

The Complaints and Denunciations Commission of the National Electoral Institute (INE) drew attention to 19 public officials, after the rally in which they participated last Wednesday at the Monument to the Revolution.
Although the public act was called to defend the electricity reform of President Andrés Manuel López Obrador, it highlighted more the calls to vote in his favor in the consultation of revocation of mandate next Sunday, April 10.
Unanimously, the councilors members of the commission determined this Friday that the precautionary measures requested by the National Action (PAN) and the Democratic Revolution (PRD) parties are appropriate, since in their opinion the rally was an act of government propaganda carried out in a prohibited period: the current ban for the recall exercise.

Given this, the commission urged the 19 officials in question to “not continue to intervene” in the consultation to revoke the mandate and, instead, act with neutrality and impartiality. Among those named are the head of government of Mexico City, Claudia Sheinbaum; the Secretary of Labor, Luisa María Alcalde; the national leader of Morena, Mario Delgado, and mayors of the capital.

Democracy with government without democrats.
The @INEMexico issued the 26th injunction today! for violation of the Constitution in the RM.
It was against 19 public servants who proselytized forbidden elections at Wednesday’s rally.

The electoral management body also ordered them to remove from social networks 49 publications that can also be considered government propaganda. The INE set a maximum period of three hours for them to remove these messages, after those responsible are notified.

Revocation
The resolution comes just two days before the recall referendum, in which citizens will be able to decide whether they want López Obrador to remain in office or be revoked. The exercise has been promoted by the president himself, not by the opposition.
Hours before the session of the Complaints Commission, federal deputies of the PAN filed a complaint against Sheinbaum and other officials, whom they accused of violating electoral legislation. The complaint was filed with the Attorney General’s Office (FGR).
