The call opens at the Usina del Arte for artists from all over the country

Organized by the Ministry of Culture of the City of Buenos Aires, the Usina del Arte launches different federal calls for visual, childhood, musician and gastronomic artists from all over the country. From Friday, March 18 to Thursday, December 1, the Usina Ilumina project will be open to new talents so that they can be part of the programming of the Usina del Arte 2022. The objective is to continue promoting a quality cultural agenda and to make visible artists and cultural makers from all over the country.

Projects related to music, visual arts, gastronomy and childhood may be presented. Month by month, the team of programmers and curators will select projects that will be part of special thematic dates within the programming and artistic agenda of the Usina del Arte. From Friday, March 18 to Monday, May 2, national groups or soloists of any musical genre who have recorded an album, single or EP between March 2021 and March 2022, which has not been previously presented on public or private stages in the Metropolitan Area of Buenos Aires (AMBA), may participate in the Discos Cardinales call.The selected projects will have photo and video coverage, transmission via live streaming for the whole country, dissemination of the presentation, an exclusive cultural and musical tour of the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires and covered travel expenses. The registration link is here. In turn, from Monday, March 21 to April 18, registration will be open to participate in the third edition of Open Microphone, a creative space for boys and girls from 8 to 12 years old from all over the country. This is the third edition of virtual meetings and face-to-face experiences that will have expert moderators in each area.

Freestyle Colectivo is an invitation to create and sing. The goal is to promote creative composition, train in vocal knowledge, learn about hip-hop and its culture, enhance the stage presence, write their own songs and play at being professionals in music. There will also be a face-to-face cultural meeting for those who wish to join. Also Reading Crew is a workshop where you can explore the written, oral and acted word. Boys and girls will be able to read, write and produce their own stories putting the word into action, enjoying different genres: fantastic, dramatic, theatrical and comedy, among others. Writers will be interviewed and cultural outings will be held. It will be held every Thursday at 18, and once a month there will be a face-to-face cultural meeting for those who wish to join.
