One person dies after shooting in Xplor park parking lot

One person died Thursday as a result of a shooting that occurred in the parking lot of the Xplor tourist park, in Quintana Roo.
At 7:34 p.m., the Attorney General’s Office (FGE) reported that a man riding a motorcycle shot another who was originally from Culiacán, Sinaloa. The victim was taken to a hospital, where he died.
According to the institution, the events occurred “in an isolated parking lot” and “no impact on tourists is reported.”

The prosecutor’s office said search protocols were activated to find and arrest the assailant.
The secretary of Public Security of the state, Lucio Hernández, also reported on what happened. Like the FGR, it noted that the assault occurred in an isolated parking lot. He added that a taxi driver was injured in the leg and that tourists were not affected.

The events take place in the middle of the Easter holiday period, in which Quintana Roo awaits the arrival of national and foreign visitors.
