The UTA announced a strike of short and medium distance buses in the interior of the country

The Unión Tranviarios Automotor (UTA) announced today a strike of short and medium distance groups to demand “the salary increase for passenger transport workers in the interior of the country.” Through a statement signed by its secretary general, Roberto Carlos Fernández, they reported that the force measure will begin at 00.00 on Tuesday, April 26 and will extend until 23.59 on Wednesday 27. We have exhausted all the necessary steps in order to achieve the salary increase for passenger transport workers in the interior of the country,” the entity explained in the statement. In addition, they affirmed: “The authorities of the Federal Transport Committee have been asked for their necessary participation, commitment and contributions for a system of which they are nothing less than the sole and first holders, despite which, they have disregarded, without assuming their role, which is why we hold them responsible for all the consequences derived from the union action measures.” We will not allow wages below inflation, nor lower assets in the interior, than those of the so-called Metropolitan Area of Buenos Aires,” the statement said.
