The CDMX will have vaccination against COVID in Metro and public places

The Government of Mexico City announced on Friday that, as part of its plan to strengthen vaccination against COVID-19, it will deploy more points to apply doses. This will cover Metro stations, points of incorporation into the pension program for older adults and public places.
All these spaces will be additional to those already installed in four macrocenters (Sala de Armas, Cencis Marina, Voca 7 and Jaime Torres Bodet Cultural Center of the IPN) and 187 health units.

The purpose of this additional deployment is that the largest number of people is protected against COVID-19, the head of government, Claudia Sheinbaum, and other capital authorities said at a press conference.
In the case of the Metro, the stations where there will be vaccination points for adults will be: Indios Verdes, Insurgentes, Cuatro Caminos, Pantitlán, Zócalo, Constitución de 1917, Auditorio, Universidad, San Lázaro and Tasqueña.
In addition, there will be 24 points of incorporation into the pension program for older adults where the dose can be received.

In the same way, in 88 public places (squares, markets, hospitals) you can also go.

Vaccines and boosters
In all these cases, the vaccine that will be applied to adults lagging behind in first doses or boosters will be that of AstraZeneca.
Eduardo Clark, director of Digital Government of the Digital Agency for Public Innovation (ADIP), said that residents and non-residents of the CDMX will be able to go to these points, and will act under the principle “in good faith”, so proof of vaccination will not be requested.
Officials said a fourth dose is also recommended for older adults, educational or medical personnel, as long as at least four months have passed since the last application.
More measures lifted
The capital’s authorities also announced that, due to the drop in cases, more measures to prevent infections will be lifted.
Specifically, in commercial establishments, from Monday the installation of sanitary filters at the entrance will no longer be requested, where until now the temperature is taken and antibacterial gel is applied.
The preventive measures that are maintained are the use of masks and the prioritization of ventilation.
