Domínguez, after the tractorazo: “We work to promote agricultural production”

After the “tractorazo” that took place on Saturday in the City of Buenos Aires, the Minister of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries, Julián Domínguez, said that “we are working to enhance agricultural production in Argentina and increase the resilience of our sector in the face of climate change.” In this regard, the Government officially reported that it is making a tour of Israel together with its Interior counterparts, Eduardo De Pedro; of Science, Technology and Innovation, Daniel Filmus, and governors. The objective is to increase scientific-technological cooperation between the two countries.

In addition, the head of the agricultural portfolio said that “we are working to enhance agricultural production in Argentina and increase the resilience of our sector in the face of climate change.” One of the objectives we have with this visit to Israel is to exchange experiences in terms of water resources, which allow us to enhance the productive capacities of Argentina,” he added. He also indicated that “from the portfolio, we are working on the National Sustainable Irrigation Plan”, in which 1,400 million dollars will be invested to develop production in 21 regions that correspond to 12 provinces. In them, there are Buenos Aires, Catamarca, Chubut, Corrientes, Entre Ríos, Mendoza, Neuquén, Río Negro, Salta, Santa Fe, Santiago del Estero and Tucumán.
