Banfield: A 21-year-old boy was shot and killed

A 21-year-old man was killed by a bullet in the face in the Buenos Aires town of Banfield and for the crime they are looking for a suspect nicknamed “El Pistolero”, police sources reported today. The incident was recorded yesterday at the corner of Arturo Shopenhauer and Capitán Rojas streets, in that town in the southern area of Greater Buenos Aires, where the victim, identified by the Police as Elías Agustín Lozano, was walking. The young man was immediately taken by a neighbor in a private vehicle to the Gandulfo hospital, where he died a few minutes after being admitted. Personnel of the 8th police station. of Villa Galicia went to the scene after a 911 call and met with Lozano’s older sister, who told them what happened. Meanwhile, medical personnel who treated the victim found that the young man had been shot in the face and that he had a firearm hidden among his clothes. It was a Bersa TPR9 pistol caliber 9 millimeters, with two magazines with 14 and ammunition respectively, and which did not have a kidnapping request, police sources reported. From the first actions carried out by the agents of the Tactical Operational Group (GTO), it was possible to determine that the alleged murderer would be a man nicknamed “El Pistolero”, so they were dedicated to his search. Prosecutor Nicolás Espejo, in charge of the Functional Unit of Instruction (UFI) 7 of the Judicial Department of Lomas de Zamora, intervenes in the case, which ordered the survey of security cameras and other measures of rigor aimed at clarifying the homicide.
