Businessman Armando Coello, uncle of Senator Manuel Velasco, killed in Querétaro

Businessman Armando Coello Arroyo, uncle of Senator Manuel Velasco Coello, was murdered yesterday in his home, located in the municipality of El Marqués, in Querétaro.
The senator for the Green Ecologist Party of Mexico condemned and lamented the murder of his uncle, who was founder and director of the Queretaro Wamerú Zoological Park.
Manuel Velasco Coello demanded that those responsible be found and justice be done so that the case does not go unpunished.

The Association of Zoos, Hatcheries and Aquariums of Mexico, AC, condemned the homicide through a deployed.
“We demand that the federal and state authorities of Querétaro be brought prompt to justice and that those responsible for the death of Captain Coello, who dedicated much of his life to the conservation of our fauna, be punished.”

“We demand an end to the violence and killings of protectors of our biodiversity,” the association said.

So far, the Prosecutor’s Office of Querétaro has not issued information about the facts. Local media such as Plaza de Armas, whose note was shared on the Twitter account of Senator Velasco, indicate that the businessman was attacked after allegedly resisting an assault inside his home.
