The music industry gathered in Bogotá at the first edition of BIME in Latin America

The great International Meeting of the Music Industry, which has been taking place in Bilbao for a decade, celebrates its first edition at its new headquarters in Latin America: Bogotá. BIME is from its origin, a bridge of cooperation and internationalization of two continents between Europe and Latin America, the reference space where you can meet all the people who work in the music sector and the cultural and creative industries. Usaquén is the neighborhood that will host most of the programming aimed at professionals, one of the most welcoming and with more cultural life in the city, which stands out for recognizing culture as a strategic component of sustainable development and a factor of local, national and international integration. The breadth of the topics addressed during the meeting are framed in large sections: FESTS! where important festivals participate nationally and internationally, among which primavera Sound, Rock al Parque, Detonante, Petronio Álvarez, Bilbao BBK Live, La Línea, Ruido Fest, Tomavistas, Summerstage, Estéreo Picnic; CAMPUS, the intensive training cycle taught by great professionals and supported by the Javeriana University, Ean University, Orange Tree, ICESI and DNA Music; START UP!, the meeting and promotion space for startups in the industry and whose competition selects the 8 most disruptive startups in the sector and rewards the most innovative project that will access Silicon Valley venture capitals such as Pegasus Tech Ventures or Founders Floor, in addition to getting a trade mission to BIME PRO Bilbao.  
Within the framework of this event, meetings of MMF LATAM (Music Management Forum) also take place, the first Civil Association that brings together managers and musical agents in Latin America and is part of the IMMF (International Music Management Forum). Within the framework of the Music Equality Forum, several talks on gender equality in the industry take place and the first face-to-face meeting of the LATAM network of WIN (Worldwide Independent Network) is also held. Within the framework of this meeting, the BIME CITY program will bring to the city more than 27 showcases of emerging artists to the city the emerging talents with the greatest projection of Europe and Latin America that can be enjoyed on the stages in Zula Usaquén, Gaira Cumbia House, Mr. BUM and Kaputt. In addition, the Congress of the Latin Vinyl Industry, audiovisual activities at Cinema Paraíso and the BIME PEQUES festival will take place by IDARTES on Saturday 7 during the day, with activities for the whole family.
