The Summer Game Fest gamer event has a confirmed date

This year’s E3 was officially cancelled in February but the industry isn’t stopping, and the Summer Game Fest event confirmed its return for next month. Summer Game Fest is the broadcast created and organized by Geoff Keighley, creator and producer of The Game Awards, and has been held for a few years within the framework of E3, with its own announcements, interviews and revelations.
This year the event will take place on June 9 from 15 in Argentina and can be seen through all channels of The Game Award, on Twitter, YouTube and Twitch. In the official statement Keighley and company promise “exclusive revelations of games, special guests, announcements, world premieres and much more”. In addition, it was announced that this year Summer Game Fest will be the home of the Day of the Devs meeting, presented by the DoubleFine and I am 8 bit studios, which brings together some of the most anticipated independent titles of the year. The Keighley festival, taking advantage of the lack of an official E3, continues to grow: the organizer also announced an agreement with the IMAX chain to screen the broadcast in several theaters of the cinema chain in the United States.

Summer Game Fest will kick off the week that would have occupied E3, and will be followed by other typical broadcasts. So far the only ones confirmed are the Future Game Show of the GamesRadar+ portal for June 11, which promises a good potpourri of independent ads, and the Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase for Sunday 12.Microsoft anticipates an event of approximately 90 minutes in which, it is rumored, all its internal studios (more than 20) will have some project to show or present.
The star of the broadcast is expected to be Starfield, the new game from the creators of Skyrim, which proposes an open-world role-playing game set in a futuristic galaxy, in which players will have absolute freedom of action to affect the world with their decisions.
