Ben Brereton Diaz closed Blackburn’s season in the Championship

The national team, which started and played until the 66th minute, closed its production in 22 goals in the season, finishing as the top scorer of its squad and in the top-10 of the gunners of the championship.
The 23-year-old striker was in charge of placing the second goal of the outsider, in the 45th minute. Near the left corner of the area, from 22 meters, he took a deflection that slipped into the angle of the goal defended by goalkeeper Neil Etheridge. Great way to end the campaign.
Blackburn Rovers’ other goal was scored by John Buckley in the 29th minute, while the home break was the work of Kristian Pedersen at 78′.
With this result, the cast of ‘Big Ben’ finished the season in eighth place with 69 points, out of the possibility of playing the league for promotion.
Remember that for much of the campaign the cast led by Tony Mowbray was in the postseason zone and even in position of direct promotion to the English honor series. Finally, Fulham and Bournemouth were promoted to the Premier League, while Huddersfield Town, Nottingham Forest, Sheffield United and Luton will be looking for the third ticket to the English honour series.
