Young people arrested with weapons in Sonora; three are minors

The Mexican Army in a joint operation with the National Guard, arrested 6 young people in the municipality of Pitiquito, Sonora, who were assured of 9 assault rifles, 48 magazines, one thousand 399 useful cartridges of various calibers, 6 tactical vests and 6 vehicles, one of them armored. Around 11:17 a.m. on May 9, Pedro Antonio “B”, Adrián Enrique “V” and Aníbal Alexis “C” were found in possession of the weapons at the ranch “Las Boquillas”. With them were the minors Adrián Adolfo “G”, Daniel “B” and Juan Manuel “M”.  This was announced by the Governor of Sonora, Alfonso Durazo at a press conference. He added that the oldest of them is just 31 years old, followed by young people aged 22, 20, 17, 16 and 14. Those involved were charged with carrying firearms and possession of cartridges with the aggravating circumstance of criminal association.” One of them, is only in the third grade of primary school, I want to share this concern as a society, as parents. We have a responsibility. It cannot be that young people, almost children, are already hooked by organized crime,” said the state president. Alfonso Durazo explained that one of the recurring themes in the state security table is intrafamilar violence.
