National Guard Seizes Tamarind Sweets with Apparent Marijuana in Guanajuato

Elements of the National Guard (GN), with the support of canine binomials, secured a package with 100 tamarind sweets with apparent marijuana.
The discovery was made in a courier and parcel company in Silao, Guanajuato, where national guardsmen entered as part of strategic actions to prevent the transfer and distribution of narcotics, foreign currency and firearms.

In a statement, the National Guard detailed that by manually examining the package, they located about 100 plastic jars with a mixture of tamarind candy and apparent cannabis extract, with a total weight of approximately three kilos, which were intended to be sent to a home in the State of Mexico.
The bottles were secured and made available to the Attorney General’s Office to determine precisely the type of substance, exact weight and continue with the corresponding investigations.
