President Gabriel Boric appointed Gloria Maldonado as new president of the board of enap

The President of the Republic, Gabriel Boric Font, appointed the chemical engineer Gloria Maldonado Figueroa as the new president of the board of ENAP and the economist and former Minister of Energy Andrés Rebolledo Smitmans as director of the company, with which the corporate governance is integrated by its seven members.

Gloria Maldonado, is a chemical engineer and master in engineering sciences, with more than 25 years of experience in management and direction, both in the public and private sectors, in areas such as innovation, technology transfer, market intelligence processes and investment attraction, technological benchmarking, project evaluation, process improvement and resource saving. She was recently appointed president of the Board of Directors of Correos de Chile.
She is also a business mentor for Mujeres Empresarias, ComunidadMujer and StartUpChile, is a member of the Strategic Council of the Chrysalis Incubator, and of the Business Council of the 2030 Consortium of the Universities of Santiago, Universidad de Concepción and Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaíso.
At the time of her appointment as president of ENAP, she served as Executive Director of Energía Marina SpA and Centro Tecnológico MERIC, whose objective is to accelerate the insertion of renewable marine energy technologies in the country, and create the bases that facilitate the articulation of a Chilean renewable marine energy industry.

Andrés Rebolledo is an economist and completed a postgraduate degree in International Economics and Economic Development at the Complutense University of Madrid, Spain. He is an expert in energy and international economic relations.

He was Chile’s ambassador to Uruguay and the country’s permanent representative to the ALADI; senior consultant at the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), in Washington, United States.
He currently serves as Dean of the Faculty of Administration, Finance and Business of SEK Universidad Chile.  He was Minister of Energy between 2016 and 2018 and worked for more than 20 years at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs where he was Director General of International Economic Relations, Direcon, between 2014 and 2016.
