Two lists are measured in elections of the Society of Writers of Chile

After two years, the elections of the new board of directors of the Society of Writers of Chile will be held. In the process, which will be this Saturday, the members of the community of writers must choose between the members of the List by the SECH and those of the List Words for Dignity as the best alternative for the guild.
Both lists presented their proposals for the Sech and have a common point, that the National Prize is held annually, since at the moment it is held every two years. In addition, that this award has the presence of members of the Sech in the jury.
The work plan of the List by the SECH has seventeen points that seek to reform, in some way, the structure and operation of the Sech. For its part, the Letters for Dignity list, under the slogan “Unity for the Sech”, has four central ideas that they offer to the community of writers. First, they seek recognition of linguistic diversity, both gender and ancestral peoples. Also, the direct participation of the subsidiaries in the management of the Sech, with an effective integration of all the writers who live abroad.
In addition, they plan the creation of the National School for writers of the Sech, which they intend to be free for all members. Finally, they seek to encourage the most diverse artistic expressions against censorship.
The list by the SECH is composed of Jorge Calvo, Roberto Rivera, Jazmín Navarrete, Malú Ortega, Mario Moreno, Marcela Puentes, Raúl Muñoz, Tulio Mendoza, Miguel de Loyola, Gabriela Paz, Sergio del Solar, Víctor Hernández, Paulina Correa and Ramiro Rivas.
