Cyber Day: How the electronic signature helps you quickly buy homes, cars and travel

This new version of the most anticipated and important online shopping event in all of Chile, is an instance where hundreds of brands seek to boost online sales. But to achieve that, companies must prepare digitally, as for example with the electronic signature, this being the electronic equivalent of a handwritten signature.
While it is true that all purchases within this event are quick and simple, there are three products and services that as a result of the health crisis had a low percentage of appearance in 2020, but that 2021 rebounded and this year the same is expected, we talk about homes, cars and travel.
According to the Chamber of Commerce of Santiago (CCS), Cyber Day 2021 registered more than 800 thousand transactions in its first 12 hours, exceeding by more than 30% the figures of Cyber Day 2020. In addition, total sales exceeded US$90 million until midday, well above the US$70 million recorded at the same time last year.
According to Danny Vargas Deputy Commercial Manager of IDOK, a company that helps model, implement, manage and optimize their business and operational processes, related to documentation and electronic signature “companies prepare in advance for these dates, since they know that they can sell many times twice as much as a normal day, and it is for this reason that the Electronic Signature is a benefit for consumers, since it facilitates the processes of buying and selling, and thanks to this tool they can do the whole process through the internet, such as buying and signing remotely”.
For example, according to the Chilean Chamber of Construction (CChC) in 2021 the sale of homes in Greater Santiago increased 149% year-on-year in the second quarter. On the other hand, the National Automotive Association of Chile (ANAC) pointed out that in June of the same year there was an increase of 295.7% in the commercialization of light and medium vehicles. And finally, flight searches increased 124% from June to September 2021, compared to the same period last year, according to data provided by Viajala.cl.
The use of the Electronic Signature comes as a solution so that people can carry out all the procedures within the same platform without the need to go to a notary.
