AMLO calls on beneficiaries of welfare credits to pay

President Andrés Manuel López Obrador called on the beneficiaries of the welfare loans to pay.
He indicated that a cut has to be made and review how much has been recovered, as in the case of the Wellness rounds.
“I call on all those who received these credits to the word so that they do not stop paying, because it is a credit that was delivered in a broad way during the pandemic to support very small merchants, people who had their small business and also those who had workers enrolled in Social Security, up to 10 workers, who despite the pandemic were not fired,” he said.

In a morning conference, he reiterated that Telecomm is going to become the Welfare Finance and will be the only institution that will administer, grant and collect the credits to the word so that “as a revolving fund it continues to support the people.”

He indicated that the regulations will have to be adjusted because Telecomm is not intended for these activities.
“It has one thousand 700 offices throughout the country, it is a good structure, there are workers for a long time, we do not want them to disappear, we do not want to lay off workers who are many years old, and we are going to give them more functions. The ideal, going forward, but we no longer have enough time, would be to merge Telecomm with the Welfare Bank,” he said.
On Thursday, President López Obrador announced the creation of the Financial For Welfare, which will receive savings, deliver credits to the word and welfare rounds.
He explained that Telecomunicaciones de México (Telecomm) will be transformed into the Financiera de Bienestar and will be strengthened; He indicated that this new agency will also receive remittances and help migrants.
Wellness Batches
Animal Político reported that the federal government decided not to allocate resources to the Microcredit program for Welfare, better known as “Tandas del Bienestar”, in the Budget of Expenditures of the Federation (PEF) 2022, one of the star social programs of President Andrés Manuel López Obrador.
After being left out of the 2022 Budget, President Andrés López Obrador reported that the Tandas para el Bienestar program will operate in 2022 with the reimbursements that the beneficiaries have made, however, these barely add up to 800 million pesos, that is, only 11% of the 7 thousand 033 million pesos that have been allocated to this social program between 2019 and 2021.
On October 14, President López Obrador said in his morning conference that this social policy will not disappear – after it was warned that it was not contemplated in the Expenditure Budget Project that he sent to the Chamber of Deputies.
