The concessioned transport in the CDMX will increase a weight

The tariff of the transport concessioned in Mexico City will increase one peso from next June 15, announced on Thursday the Secretary of Mobility of the capital government, Andrés Lajous.
This increase will apply to the fares of minibuses and wagons, route buses and corridor buses. Lajous said the hike is due to an “update” stemming from rising fuel prices.
The rates of the transport systems operated by the capital government – Metro, Metrobús, Cablebús, Tren Eléctrico, RTP – will remain as they are today.

Rates in detail
With this change, the rates will look like this:
For minibuses and wagons:

6 pesos on trips of less than 5 kilometers

6.50 pesos in trips of 5 to 12 kilometers
7.50 pesos on trips over 12 kilometers

For route buses:

7 pesos on trips of up to 12 kilometers
7.50 pesos on trips over 12 kilometers

For corridor buses:

The jaloneo between government and carriers
This increase is announced after the demands of the concessioned transport operators.
The Mobility Secretary said that most carriers accepted the increase of one peso instead of the three to five pesos they had originally proposed.
Lajous also said the government will sanction those who charge more than authorized. The sanctions may even provide for the withdrawal of the concession.
In addition, he said, the authorities will insist that the transporters keep their units in good condition, have their licenses in order, drive with caution, be uniformed with white shirt and dark pants and do not travel with companions.
