According to INDEC, occupancy increased in Santa Fe

The Minister of Labor of Santa Fe, Juan Manuel Pusineri, celebrated that the employment rate of the province “continues to be positive” and announced the incorporation of more than forty thousand new jobs to the Santa Fe labor market. Although the positive difference is smaller if the last quarter of 2021 is compared with the first quarter of 2022, it is still positive. This was revealed by the INDEC report that was released this week: in relation to the first quarter of 2021, 41,000 people joined the labor market.
“If we compare the last quarter of 2021 with the first period of this year we have a rise of 6,000 people with some type of occupation,” said the Minister. And he added: “In this framework it must be considered that the increase in the activity rate together with the growth of the Economically Active Population (EAP) influenced unemployment to be located at just over 7%, in line with the figures at the national level.” The INDEC showed that as for Gran Rosario, the employment rate was higher than that of the previous quarter and reached 46.5%. The activity rate was the second highest in the country and reached 50.5%. In Greater Santa Fe the employment rate remained at 42.6% and the unemployment rate was 7.1%.
