Shooting in front of church in Caborca, Sonora, leaves one person dead

A shooting occurred yesterday outside a church in Caborca, Sonora, leaving one person dead.
The events were recorded shortly after 13:00, a school graduation ceremony was held at the place.
The shooting occurred when a restaurant businessman was passing through the area aboard his truck.

According to witnesses, the restaurateur tried to flee, so the assailants fired several shots.
According to the Sonora prosecutor’s office, near the parking lot of a church, two vehicles with friction damage and two .223 caliber shell casings for firearms were located.

A person from the prosecutor’s office located the body of a 69-year-old man on Avenida Q; his vehicle had bullet wounds.
The attackers managed to flee; so far the prosecutor’s office has only reported that it is investigating the facts.
