Adriana Inés is found dead, Edomex Prosecutor’s Office investigates femicide

Authorities of the State of Mexico reported that after the discovery of the body of Adriana Inés, a nurse in the CDMX, the case will be investigated as femicide.
According to the search form, Adriana Inés Vidal was reported missing on July 23. The 30-year-old woman, mother of two little girls, was last seen in the Avándaro neighborhood, in Valle de Chalco.
Five days after his disappearance, the Attorney General’s Office of the State of Mexico reported that his body was found in the municipality of Ozumba.

“This institution has solid elements that identify the alleged aggressor as well as his location,” the prosecutor’s office said.

Social media users lamented the femicide of Adriana Inés and demanded that the authorities find those responsible.
According to official figures, from January to June of this year the State of Mexico has a record of 78 investigation folders for the crime of femicide.

At the national level, the National Search Commission reports a total of 103,080 missing and unlocated people. In addition, it details that to date 10,404 people have been located without life.
In the State of Mexico alone, 11,211 missing persons are reported, of which 44.29%, or 4,965, are women.
