How was Alberto Fernández’s cabinet formed?

By decision of President Alberto Fernández, this Thursday there were several changes in the cabinet. The ministries that will have new officials in charge are those of Economy, Production and Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries. In addition, there were modifications in the Secretariat of Strategic Affairs. As for the changes, the most important was the unification of the ministries of Economy, Productive Development and Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries. The person in charge of this new ministry will be Sergio Massa, president of the Chamber of Deputies, who will take office next week. Due to this appointment, Daniel Scioli, Silvina Batakis and Julián Domínguez will no longer be in charge of the respective portfolios they headed. In fact, Batakis, who had assumed as Minister of Economy less than a month ago, will now be the president of Banco Nación by appointment of Alberto Fernández. For her part, Scioli leaves the Ministry of Production and will return to the Argentine embassy in Brazil, where she was until a few months ago. On the other hand, Julián Domínguez presented his resignation from the portfolio of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries and will not continue to be linked to the government. In addition, the president today accepted the resignation of Gustavo Beliz from the Secretariat of Strategic Affairs and appointed in his place Mercedes Marco del Ponto, who was in charge of the Federal Administration of Public Revenue (AFIP). The aforementioned body will be commanded by Carlos Castagneto, who was until now the General Director of Social Security Resources of the AFIP. Finally, despite not having an official announcement, everything seems to indicate that Cecilia Moreau, national deputy for the Frente de Todos, will be the new president of the Chamber of Deputies before the departure of Sergio Massa.
