Senator Chahuán (RN) denounced the Seremi de Transportes de Valparaíso before the Comptroller’s Office for electoral interventionism: sign said “PRUEBAPRUEBA”

The senator and president of National Renewal, Francisco Chahuán, filed a request against the Seremi de Transportes of the Valparaíso region before the Comptroller General of the Republic (CGR), for an electronic sign that, according to him, supported the Approve option in the face of the plebiscite of exit of the proposal of new Constitution, which will be held on September 4.
According to the request, Chahuán received a citizen complaint on July 29, in which it was accused that the sign – located on the Urban Trunk road, which connects Quilpué with Viña del Mar, and whose administration, according to the legislator, depends on the Seremi de Transportes – contained a message in favor of the Apruebo. What the screen said was “TEST TEST”.

“The records provided, in the opinion of this party, are sufficient to configure electoral interventionism and improper use of public resources,” says the document entered by Chahuán.
Likewise, the parliamentarian asks that “their authorities and dependents be ordered, in the future, to refrain from carrying out electoral interventionism with the use of public resources.”
In addition, it requested that “the corresponding administrative investigation be investigated, against the officials for the administrative responsibility that falls to them in the illegal acts denounced.”
On the possible improper use of public resources, Chahuán required that “the corresponding trial of accounts be instructed so that the defendants respond, with their personal assets, to the improper use of fiscal resources.”
