Zaracho: “We want the electoral contract to be fulfilled”

The representative of Patria Grande, Juan Grabois, had put on the table the possibility of breaking with the Frente de Todos if the most vulnerable sector of the population was not taken into account. However, the national deputy Natalia Zaracho said that the objective is not to break with the unity in the Chamber of Deputies, but “that the electoral contract is fulfilled.” According to NA, the legislator explained: “We do not want to break the Frente de Todos, but that it has a word and complies with the electoral contract that made us a government, which was to start with the last in line.”

However, he said: “We are proposing not to be part of the bloc, but not to leave one, because it is important to be part of a coalition that wins in 2023.” At the same time, he added: “It’s a time when we have to start having gestures with the people who are having the worst time and we are postponing it a long time ago. We are convinced that this must be the case. I live in Fiorito. With what face do I speak to the colleagues who are lining up in the dining room? How much longer are we going to wait?”

In addition, he remarked that “we are not going to remain silent, we have a fundamental role, which has nothing to do with leaving and breaking up. Everything we are doing today is not to lose in 2023: those who voted for us need us to do things for that sector.” In turn, with respect to the proposal of the Universal Basic Wage, Zaracho explained that “they can change the name, but that the urgency is understood that there has to be an income and assistance for those who are having the worst time.”
