AMLO calls those who criticize Leticia Ramírez racists and classists

President Andrés Manuel López Obrador came to the defense of who will be the new head of the Ministry of Public Education (SEP), Leticia Ramírez; he said that those who criticize his appointment are racist, classist and discriminate.
She recounted her work as a teacher for 12 years, as a leader of a section of the National Coordinator of Education Workers (CNTE) and recognized her work in the public administration; He called her an exceptional and honest woman.
“She is an exceptional woman, a school teacher, a classroom teacher, she worked for 12 years, she trained in one of the best schools in Mexico, the National School of Teachers… Always with a position in favor of just causes, we have known each other since 1994, she worked with me from 2000 to 2005 as a citizen attention manager, which is not just anything. It is to attend to the people, to listen to the people.

“In the opposition movement always together, it was to tell him, help, we need you in Tlaxcala and he would leave his girl or take her to work, to become aware to achieve transformation. Leader of a section of the teachers’ union, of the CNTE, honest, so I feel very proud to have her as Secretary of Education,” she said.
