Bernal Oeste: Two homicides a few blocks away

The first of the events was recorded this morning at the corner of the streets Suboficial Presidente Roque Cisterna and Calle 169, in that town belonging to the party of Quilmes, in the southern part of the conurbation. Judicial spokesmen reported that a man was arriving in a car at his home, when he was approached by three criminals. The assailants intimidated the man with a knife and demanded that he hand over the vehicle, after which he resisted and began to struggle with them. At one point the driver managed to get away, took the knife from one of the thieves and managed to stab him. The offender fell to the ground badly injured and eventually died at the scene, while the accomplices escaped. Prosecutor Mariana Curra Zamaniego, in charge of the Functional Unit of Instruction (UFI) 6 of the Judicial Department of Quilmes, intervened in the case, who after analyzing the security cameras located in the area determined that the owner of the vehicle acted in self-defense. In turn, a witness related that he had also previously suffered the attempted theft of his car by assailants of similar characteristics, judicial sources reported. On the other hand, in the so-called “Villa Esprinfield”, located a few blocks from the place and also in this early morning, a man was killed by a bullet in the neck. According to reports, the crime occurred within the framework of a long-standing conflict between local families.
