The deadline is over: check until when the National Student Card can be revalidated

On Tuesday, August 30, the deadline to revalidate the National Student Card (TNE) expires, a benefit that allows access throughout the year to reduced rates in the means of transport associated with the Mobility Network in the case of the capital, and urban transport buses in regions.
To date, a high percentage of the benefited students have not yet completed the procedure. For this reason, the national director of Junaeb, Camila Rubio made an urgent call: “From next week all students who use public transport must have their TNE revalidated, so it is essential that they do not forget to carry out this simple process, which will allow them to maintain this benefit that the State delivers and that we know is a relevant support for families”, Camila Rubio said.
In the Metropolitan Region, students should only approach any totem of the Bip Network, where they must enter the card to complete the technological revalidation process, which must end with the message “extended pass”. To facilitate this procedure, beneficiaries can access this link that georeferences the totem poles closest to the place where the student is located. The procedure takes, on average, less than two minutes.
In regions, they must approach the TNE offices, as well as the modules provided by Junaeb to be able to paste the 2022 seal. The address, the opening hours of the modules and all the necessary information is available here.
It should be remembered that the period – which traditionally expired on May 31 – was postponed until August 30, 2022, due to the health emergency, so this is the last opportunity for students to do the procedure.
The revalidation is an annual procedure that must be carried out by all students who already have their card and do not take a new student section. That is, those who do not require a new plastic for having entered higher education for the first time or having gone to fifth grade or first grade.
