Government filed a complaint for frustrated homicide after arson attack in Contulmo

The Government of President Boric complained about four events that occurred last Monday in the commune of Contulmo, Biobío region, which ended with a historic mill completely burned and an elderly man amputated in his leg as a result of the arson attack.
Among the attacks reported in the letter entered by the Regional Presidential Delegation, highlights the burning of the Grollmus Mill, 107 years of history and the shootings against Carlos Grollmus, 70, committed by about twenty strangers.
The complaint indicates that Grollmus was “grabbed by the neck by one of the defendants” and was shot “at point-blank range in one of his legs,” and then “abandoned to his fate on the side of the Mill, which was consumed by fire.”
The criminal action is aimed at all those who are responsible – as authors, accomplices or cover-ups of the crimes of qualified homicide in a degree of frustrated development; robbery with violence and consummate intimidation; fire consummated; obstruction of free movement; illegal carrying of a firearm and ammunition to the degree of consummation; unjustified shooting.”
“As well as any other illicit that may be configured from the facts and those that are determined during the course of the investigation carried out for this purpose by the Public Ministry,” the document states.
