Covid-19: Minsal confirms that all regions decreased their infections in the last seven and 14 days

The Minsal confirmed 5,100 new cases of Covid-19, with a positivity of 10.30% in the last 24 hours nationwide, after the realization of 51,319 tests, PCR and antigen test.
The health authority said that all regions of the country decreased their confirmed cases in the last seven and 14 days.
According to sampling, the regions with the highest positivity in the last week are O’Higgins, Araucanía, Maule and Biobío.
Meanwhile, the Atacama region has the highest current incidence rate per 100,000 inhabitants, followed by the regions of Ñuble, Los Ríos and Maule, while the daily positivity in the Metropolitan Region is 9.61%.

According to today’s report, of the total number of new cases of Covid-19, 3,011 correspond to symptomatic people and 870 have no symptoms. In addition, there were 1,219 positive PCR tests that were not reported.
The total number of people who have been diagnosed with the virus in the country reaches 4,527,533. Of that total, 24,472 patients are in the active stage. The recovered cases are 4,434,820.
As for the deaths, according to the information provided by the DEIS, in the last 24 hours there were 28 deaths due to causes associated with the coronavirus. The total number of deaths in the country is 60,571.
To date, 137 people are hospitalized in Intensive Care Units, of which 91 are supported by mechanical ventilation. In relation to the Integrated Health Network, there is a total of 272 critical beds available for the patient who requires it, regardless of the region where they are.

Regarding the Laboratory Network and diagnostic capacity, yesterday the results of 51,319 PCR tests and antigen tests were reported, reaching to date a total of 44,152,825 analyzed nationwide. The positivity for the last 24 hours at the country level is 10.30% and in the Metropolitan Region it is 9.61%.
With respect to the Health Residences, we have 31 lodging facilities, with 2,113 total beds. The actual occupancy nationwide is 49%, leaving a total of 811 beds available to be used.
